The United States hopes that Russia has been doing its best to persuade Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to stop violence against protesters, U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner has said.

The Lewistown High School cross country Team is hosting their annual Trivia Bowl Contest on Saturday March 3 at 6 pm at the Lewistown Nazarene Church. The team entry fee is $80 for a team of eight people. There will be three cash prizes awarded along with trophies.
